Tell that to the slaves in America who were freed by the Civil War, and the Jews and others who were being slaughtered by the Nazis in the 40's.

You see, war DOES solve some problems, and your utter lack of historical knowledge is the real atrocity here.

Originally, war was a way to conquer other lands and expand an empire. More recently, however, war has been waged for several reasons: hatred or defense. Now, these are just my theories of war, but there are many different theories that I do not belief are necessarily true. The times have changed since the Roman Empire and expansion. Once "people" started moving into the Western Hemisphere, conflicts almost immediately arose. It is not necessarily that man does not learn from history by MAKING war, but in the tactics of war, people do not learn. For example, in the Napoleonic Wars, Napoleon almost conquered all of Eurasia. His conquest failed because he chased the Russians through the icy cold land of east Russia and many of his army starved or froze to death (slash/burn policy of Russians). Had he not tried to conquer Russia that winter, he might have established a peaceful "word" (Europe) for a while.

Hitler and the NAzis made the same mistake in WWII. I am not at all saying that they would have made a peaceful world, because that would be insulting and obviously a bold-face lie. For the sake of this argument though, let us just ASSUME that Hitler's intentions to take over the world were good (assume, not believe). The problem with making peace is one must go to war first. The problem with war is that one has never been able to dominate the entire world (except maybe Alexander the Great of the Greek Empire). If someone's intentions are purely good, one might be able to "conquer the world" peacefully. I belief they would again need several things:

1. A solution to feed the hungry.
2. A solution to house the homeless.
3. most important- A solution to religous and racial diversity.

Then, once everyone can overcome these obstacles, the world could be dominated through a "peaceful" war-since war is just assumed to be violence.

America is the source of all wars during recent time. Americans should not vote for war mongers who has no ethics nor faith. To simply say that war was necessary to free slaves in America is utter rubbish and lacks taste and ignorance in history! the question should be why they were bought as slaves from start? and to say that Jews were saved from the Nazi is another illusion and brainwash. Just look at them ruling the world and imprisoning 5M Palestinians and deprive them from all human rights.

men do learn from history...but history itself is relative to different understanding of men....imagine how many culture does the world have, and you know how many interpretation we then have of the past...so at the end, there will be conflict on everybody's belief...while a group of people believes that a certain course of action is right, the others it is totally unacceptable...so we will just be like that over and over again...as long as we can not reconcile all our differences in politics, religion, and everything, there will be war.

I have heard it said that if the leaders of a nation were made to do the fighting and not the people, then there would be no wars. So let us look at the leaders and know that power corrupts, and total power, totally corrupts. When politics allow for individuals to have this total power, the results are inevitable, i.e. Hitler, Stalin, Idi Amin, and the list goes on. The nature of man is depraved, in sin, they are totally depraved, controlled by the devil, who is the enemy of souls. He came but to steal, kill, and destroy. In opposition to this Jesus came to give life, and give it more abundantly., so choose this day whom you will serve, God or Satan?

Those who are in control of most governments and the monetary system want an uninformed population. They can stay in control as long as people dont learn from history and really become informed.

It is mainly because it is human to err. The main reason for any one going out to war is to prove to others how strong they are and to show how they deal with those who dont agree with their point of views. Greed is also a reason for starting a war but another reason is jealousy. Many wars in olden days have been started because of jealousy against the other kingdom or country.(comments are welcome)

Greed.. my solution is a war monger tax... anyone who wants a war gets to pay for it and fight it... as for the rest of the world we should negotiate, but stay out of their affairs.

Would you please tell me if there is anything that YOU would fight for? And please tell me how to rid the world of Hitler with other solutions. The World TRIED OTHER SOLUTIONS WITH HIM FOR FIVE YEARS. All the other solutions accomplished was to embolden Hitler and give him time to strengthen his military machine.

Once again are you so cowardly that there is nothing YOU PERSONALLY would fight for?
