2 is very poor ettiquette!
One is the correct way to be smart but casual. If one is still too tight buy a posher shirt with better button spacing or wear a polo shirt instead.
(If I could give points to you for using the word louche I would. Glorious choice of word!)

id probably say buy a new shirt with a bigger colar size that way u can undo one button....hope that helps....lol
