I guess we don't credit them with greatness because they've only won a single national championship in the past 30 years. And even that title was tainted by the fact that they got a phantom penalty call in their favor when the game should have been over.

When I think of great teams, I think of Miami, Florida State, or USC - teams that have actually won championships, and haven't choked in games against teams like Wisconsin.

The Buckeyes are, in my opinion, the best team in college football this season. That doesn't mean anything, however, until they raise that championship trophy in January. And until then, there's still a lot that could go wrong.

OSU is amazing. They will win this year's championship game. Just ask any ESPN analyst.

and to Rebel One...There's no way we can play Michigan in the National Championship game because whoever wins the Ohio State-Michigan game this year will go on to the National Championship game. So, if Ohio State wins that game, then Michigan drops a few spots in the rankings and then there's a new #2 team. So then it would be Ohio State vs #2 (USC or West Virginia)

Let me say first that I am an absolute nut for THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES. I think that they make most of their games look so easy, that people don't think they have a tough schedule. Whenever they win convincingly, it seems that the talk is that their opponent had an " OFF DAY ". Take Michigan, I have the utmost respect for them. But we have both played Iowa and Michigan state, our stats are comparable, we were on the road for both games while Michigan was at home and yet ''they(MICHIGAN) look invincible and our opponents were just having off days. It is not Michigan, it is the writers and bloggers that have these opinions.I know Indiana is not a powerhouse, but OSU had the overall best stats against them of any team that they have played. We held them to 3 Pt's and a total offense of 165 yards, while we had 540 yards. I am not bragging about the win, only pointing out that after game the announcers said that Indiana was obviously not playing their best. I hate it !! Why can't they say that the BUCKEYES just frustrated them and took them out of their game ? I know, we are #1 so I should be happy, but I too want a bit more respect.

Because they win games, but don't do it impressively. They have a very solid team, but are playing in a Big 10 conference that isn't very strong this year. Outside of Michigan and OSU the Big 10 is pretty weak. OSU did go on the road and beat Texas, but the rest of the schedule has been pretty unimpressive.

If the Buckeyes defeat Michigan (and I think they will) Troy Smith will win the Heisman Trophy and play in the BCS Championship game.... Will they win? I dunno.... but they'll be the favorite.

Ohio State does have greatness on their football team, defensively and offensively, this year. No team is INVINCIBLE, however, and there have been VERY FEW teams make it from beginning of the season ranked number one, all the way to the national title, and not lose a single game, K? It just is too difficult a task. Therefore, the skeptics have the odds on their side when they THINK the Buckeyes might lose a game. I believe that this Buckeye team has a GREAT chance to defy the odds against them and go post to post ranked number one and win the national championship title this year!!! I believe that the woolveweenies team from that devil pit state up north is the only team that can test the Buckeyes, however, the woolveweenies just do not have enough UMPH to beat my Buckeyes - Buckeyes WILL BEAT meechigan this November 18th in Ohio Stadium!!!!!

GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!

I have been picking 80% winners in both college and nfl football, I have recorded all of the picks in an excel sheet, so I can prove my record to you. I hit 10 out of 11 on a parlay last week, the only one I lost was Louisville -17.5....they won by 15. That was a 5 dollar parlay to win 3000. This week I will hit all 11. Email me at jtabone@mail.usf.edu and I will give you my picks this weekend for free

OSU is good...but alot of games remain, and remember the word injuries. OSU has to deal with Michigan or USC in the final...where anything can happen...to even great teams!...oooops,i guess i ws wrong about the Michigan -ohio state finale...but i guarantee Ohio State flounders in the end,i've seen that movie before!!...again,Ohio State is a good team ,to be great show me a national championship team, today. who knows a Michigan upset over Ohio State is in fact possible sending Ohio State fans reeling to another Bowl,,,I know Maurice Clarett won,t be cheering for them...and they sold the farm for him!!

Who's denying Ohio State's greatness? They are a great team, and they've been # 1 all year long.

What difference does it make to you if other people don't want to give them the respect they deserve as the top ranked team?

Come on, there is no way Oklahoma State is going to win the championship this year, much less the Big 12 South!
