Asthma is not cureable but it is treatable. Having asthma is like having scar tissue on your arm or body. The cells that have died in your lungs are now scar tissue and you cannot regrow the lung tissue yet. Asthma is treatable and there are many things you can do to improve your life style. The lungs are irritated by small particles in the air - if you smoke stop smoking. If you heat with an old wood stove or use a fireplace try to make sure the smoke particles do not get inside the room you are in because they will irritate your lung tissue or get one of the new wood stoves that are sealed tight.. Stay far away from smokers. See a specialist if you have a chronic problem breathing.

Asthma is an allergy and is triggered by something. The best non medication treatment for asthma is learning your triggers and avoiding them. Common triggers are smoke, dust, mold, mildew, plants, dust mites, pets and grass/weeds.
If you can not figure our your triggers, you may need to see an allergist and have allergy screening done. This may point out your triggers.
The National Asthma Prevention Program and the Expert Panel of Diagnosis and Management of Asthma both agree if you have to use a prescription inhaler such as albuterol more then two time per week, your asthma is NOT in control and you will need a prescription controller medication.
Controller medications are steroids (Asthmacort Asthmanex, Flovent, Pulmocort), Leukotriene modifier (Singulair, Aculade, Zyflo) or mast cell stabilizers (Cromolyn sodium, Intal, Tilade).
You may want to talk to your doctor about several strong controller medications and maybe Xolair shots.
If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.

you will think I am joking, but I am not. Asthma is very much curable. I suffered from Asthma since I was a school girl, now I am 35 and have been cured of it. Mine was bad I could even predict the weather, I could tell it will rain next week although I could not tell the exact day. I was not supposed to get existed as I was likely to get an attack, I could not stay in a house with closed windows. I could walk into a room and smell dust which everyone else could not. I had to carry my inhaler in my had bag, but guess what that is all a thing of the past. I was prayed for in Jesus name and was healed. We had a service where one lady professied that people were going to be healed that day. I believed and had faith and was healed thank to the Lord. I have not had any attachs since 1999

I've had asthma since i was a baby and I'm twenty years old now. Doctors can try many medications for it. I have not heard of a "cure" yet but there is a shot you can get that has a 50/50 chance of "curing" it but its not a 100% chance so dont base it on that... you can grow out of asthma as well and also if you have gained weight or feel you are overweight it helps majorly to get that off. A treatment that also worked well for my sister is advair (although she still has asthma hers has calmed down a lot) ..and most doctors will tell you where you live has a lot to do with your asthma/allergies..hope this helps

Asthma is not curable. It can be well managed in most people with certain medications like singular. And of course people who have asthma usually always have what is called a rescue inhaler such as albuteral. But medical science still has not found a cure for it. Just medications to manage it.

It isn't curable. It is controllable. And more and more so every day. You have to try the various meds until you find the ones that are right for you.

It is a psychosomatic disease. While you may continue with whatever treatment you are taking, I would suggest that you take recourse to yoga. Especially, pranayama, done regularly and religiously will do a world of good, for you, in the long run.
