Assuming everything was done correctly during the rebuild, the 'effort' required to kick over any half liter bike is pretty stout. Those aren't little girls bikes. Believe it or not the starting drill is similar to a four stroke. Pre-charge the cylinder with fuel by rocking it in gear while holding the throttle open. Find TDC, go a little past it, then kick it like you mean it.

Fuel and oil mixture ratio should be between 32:1 and 50:1 depending upon the quality oil your using, your jetting and how you ride the bike. Synthetics can and should be mixed leaner than petroleum based oils. If you ride with extended periods of high rpm's then it should be richer, a typical woods guy can go leaner.

All open class MX bikes are hard to kick over. If you've only had 125 and 250 you can 'slap' kick them and they start. Open class needs a bit more commitment (and some MX boots) If your afraid of it, it WILL 'bite back' Dont add more oil to gas 'for luck' I think its 20:1 oil/gas but check with Honda dealer or online.
