If people would be more willing to drop their current notions and look more deeply, objectively for themselves.
Example: In America, we are led to believe that the French, Italians, and English are something akin to second rate humans. I have noticed on this site that 'they' have similar opinions about Americans. I have lived all over the world, and have many friends in Europe and South America. We have cultural differences, but they are all good people. When someone on this site attacks others simply because they are in another country, well, the outcome is truly disheartening. The attacks are aggressive, vile, and founded in ignorance. The ones who should be attacked are the leaders who have portrayed our respective countries in such negative ways that these stigmas are created. It could be postulated that world leaders perpetuate these feelings between countries so that maintaining control is easier – especially in matters of war.
