And they search your car,keep you for over an hour while they run your tags and liscence through. No probable cause for such action..Are the cops these days too gun ho about their job?

Have you ever had a cop pull you over to ask you out? I told him I knew the police chief (I really did) and that I could have his badge for picking up on me while on duty and in a marked car.

I got stopped for doing 51 in a 50 zone once but the guy wanted my number. I gave him a fake number and he let me off. Too weird.

ive never been stopped, i obey the traffic laws. they really do have to have a reason to stop you. if they dont, it wont hold up in court. people should remember that when they are stopped to be pleasant and tell the truth while on the stop. it will pay off in the long run. cops are people too.
if you dont agree with your ticket, go to court. there should be a court date on the ticket.

Not me. My son has. Seat belt -- cop told him he wasn't wearing it, and that he put it on AFTER he got pulled over. The kid isn't stupid, he KNOWS he's going to get pulled over, so the first thing he always does is put on his seat belt. And if the cops were really gung ho about their jobs, they wouldn't be harrassing kids, they'd be protecting them.

i live in an arab country & police here r really insane.
i remember one tym my bf drove me home @ 1AM & there's this police car who followed us fr d round about 2d parking entrance in d complex i live in..
they called him out of d car & d other police came 2 me.. can u believe he asked if i was a virgin???
omg, i laughed so loud that my bf got irritated coz he thought i was laughin w/d police..
gosh! they're really pathetic... i do have a police phobia
