Yes they are good. The problem is that the large number of NGOs that exist are self interested groups. Maybe they could be more accurately described without the broad brush approach given them. Those NGOs or in other words Non Government Organizations are able to respond quickly to urgent situations. Humanitarian aid is vital to some countries at this present moment, and does save very many lives in crisis situations. Imagine trying to decide which of the two million NGOs in India alone that you would support financially, a very difficult task.

Do you have money? Do you have an issue with any business organisation? Call a NGO and pay them. Rest is thier work.
They are the worst trouble makers specially in developing nations.
Thier best interest is money.
I am yet to come across any exception.

No, not a good thing. They have an agenda which may or may not have anything to do with a specific developing country. Most of their aims would be better served by helping the countries become capitalist so then the countries could afford to do things that are desired by these groups.

NGO's are good when they work trustfully for development of the people where they r. and indeed they r helpful to the countires as well as to people if they work in real sense, they r in best interest of the people development...condition is the same....REAL SENSE.

It would depend on whether the organization is interested in profit or charity

profit no only in the best interest of the organization

charity yes(generally) in the best interest of the people
