There was an article in The Hindu recently about teleportation.

The Hindu? I did see some articles not so long ago about teleportation of largest group of atoms to date. They can transmitt information by teleporting light photons and have successfully performed bank wire transfer using such technique although not in commercial use.

Google quantum information/encryption, entanglement...etc.

recent development has shown that the teleportation has been done to small paricles over small distances. but with advancement of quamtum theory we will achieve teleportation through a long distance.

No, it's sadly impossible. There is no way to de-randomize the particles once blown apart.
