I found an owl on the hood of my car one night and have heard several myths about what that meant. Any insight?

I'm sorry I don't know what it may mean (I would lean towards nothing) but I would be careful about any dead animal. Don't touch it or anything. It may have some disease which killed it.
If I were going to make up something, I'd say an owl means wisdom, and so a dead owl must mean death of wisdom.

basically this owl has had a heart attack at precisely the moment it was flying over the hood of your car, it's a dead owl, it means nothing.
