Calculate your opportunity costs. Do you really have a need for expensive watch? What else can you buy is you did not spend on the watch??

Unless it is a limited edition, watches normally takes a long time to appreciate in value. So buying for investment is generally is out of the question.

Less than $100 is NOT an expensive, high end watch.

Go look at a Cartier,
