There are only a couple of sellers of this item on ebay and one of them is over £100 cheaper than the rest but its from America and it makes me suspicious. Should I be or have I simply found a bargain?

dont forget that if you do buy it from the US there will be tax to be paid for its importation ......so it may not look such a cheap option when you take that into account ......

dont bother! id never ever buy any pc hardware from ebay. processors are expensive, chances are it has been used and overclocked, how can u tell if a processor is 2nd hand? id opt for a brand new fx55 which i think is stock 2.4ghz you can overclock an amd fx55 to 2.8ghz which is similar to a fx62 ;) check out pchardware or any forum about overclocking... most pcs now are built for overclocking but noone does, i have a amd winchester 2.2ghz stock overclocked it to 2.6ghz which is quicker than a fx55 and i paid £150 new over a year ago... my everest timings are off the scale! doesnt even know what p.c i have! trust me dont buy any pc parts from ebay, especially from america, what you going to do in 6 months when it pops! im sure they will oblige and send another NOT!
overclockers.co.uk and other uk sites come with guarentees!
why do u have to have an fx62?

If the processors you mentioned are same and also of same working condition, dont worry about the difference in price as that can be taken care of by the time lapse in shipping it down to you from America and the cost involved.

There are many 'knockoffs' in the processor industry. SO it is buyer beware. Try www.tigerdirect.com or any REPUTABLE source to make your purchase. It's less stress, which is worth anything you might save on ebay.... And the warranties will be honored, so the risk is minimal. good luck :-)
