Yes this sounds gross but I had a craving for sour apple slurpie and a pickle. I don't even like pickles that much. My husband was kind to get me the slurpie or else! :) As soon as I had them together I was so content. Funny how I can't sleep well, I can smell my dog's breath even if he is on the floor and that grosses me out and then I want a pickle with slurpie???? LOL What's next? Not looking for any ideas here but what is/was your craving that you remember most?

Well I never craved anything weird but my aunt did. When she was pregnant with her last son she could not get enough of Pickle Slices on Maple bars!! EEEWWW so gross! When she didn't have the money for the maple bars she would just dip the pickles in syrup.
I just had to eat mints most of my second pregnancy. Starlight mints or candy canes. I couldn't just suck on them either. I had to eat them! I guess that could be weird to some people. Especially since I was still eating them on the way to the hospital to give birth!

My funniest cravings during pregnancy were liverwurst and corn dogs...and massive bowls of chili. My poor husband really did have the patience of a saint in those days to put up with first the cravings, then the odor! :-)

Princess, I read your post regarding your friend's craving for TISSUES and, as dreadful as it sounds, it happens a lot during pregnancy. It's called PICA, the almost overwhelming desire to ingest non-food items during pregnancy.

I remember once, when I was in my 4th month of pregnancy, I was doing the whole "nesting" thing...getting my house spotlessly clean and ready for the new baby. I was on the kitchen floor using a scrub brush and bleach to make the floor shine and suddenly I was struck with the strongest urge to drink the bleach. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life and, 10 years later, I remember it like it was yesterday. I started crying there on the floor and when I told my husband what I was thinking, he called the doctor, believing that I had completely lost my mind. The doctor, of course, told him about Pica, and that it was perfectly natural for some..."just don't drink the damned bleach!"

As if expecting mothers didn't have enough to deal with....!

I never had anything to strange or gross, but out of the ordinary, I'm not a pickle eater and I had to have pickles, bananana peppers, deep fried corndogs, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches ( not all together ) . A whole bunch of out of the ordinary things.

i'm 33 weeks, some of my cravings include pepsi (i get the decaff) scrambled eggs, pancakes. there was one day, i was about 16 weeks or so, i couldn't keep ANYTHING down, but i was craving a bacon deluxe burger from hungry jack's (aka burger king) soooo bad. i held off all day hoping it would pass, but by 4pm the craving was still there. i made my husband go and get me one, which he did, i think just to shut me up, and i was fine after that. really really weird. i've been craving junk food in general, which is not like me, and i've gone off the stuff i normally love, like pasta, steak, fruit (though i make sure i get some into me every day) i was craving a mango in the middle of winter, thank god they're in season now!! can't get enough mangoes. but if you want to hear something really really gross, my friend's mum was pregnant and craving..... tissues!! it was so bizzare. "i just want to eat tissues!!"

I didn't crave anything gross when pregnant but I couldn't get enough bananas. For lunch, several times, I went and got a piece of banana bread, a banana muffin, a banana, and a big jug of milk.

lays salted wafers with any chocolate dessert, preferably Baskin's rocky road or the mud sludge cake at the bakery nearby. my husband still feels yucky when we dicuss it, I would dip a handful of chips in the ice cream and eat it together.
All the best - its going to be GREAT

I'm assuming you are pregnant since you are in that Category. When I was pregnant, one night I had to have pizza and an orange float.

My husband had to drive me around to find them.
