Contact the SBA (Small Business Administration). In my city they participate in a center that provides classes and instruction to entrepreneurs like yourself (and me). They'll be able to offer you resources in your community.

To get my feet wet, I took a one-day class that they put on using retired business people (S.C.O.R.E.) who shared their knowledge. After that there were expanded classes at extremely reasonable cost. The center is there to support and encourage us. It's also a place to find out how to network and get your name and your business's name around the community.

You're doing your homework, and that's good. Best of luck.
