In the whole picture, conservation is not even making a dent in the stubborn nature of man and progression. i wouldn't call it progression.. i would call it greed. No matter what the conservationists do to save the planet, people will still end up using more energy than required. IN australia, there may be buildings that are energy efficient but it's the human lifestyle that's making the electric bill go higher. there is a good 5 years left before the power grids won't be able to support the human demand for electricity.

Human race if not regulated.. Will wipe all the natural resources out. I think that dude in the Matrix said it best. Redwoods would be gone. Rain forest.. gone. People are greedy. Want that money, Natural resources are worth money. Then comes poaching .. Black market .. Smuggling..
Ivory.. Animal parts.. Shoot a black bear Gal bladder is worth 5 to 10 thousand. It's simple. Just to many people on good 'ol mother Earth..
