patient care technicin in the hospital?

I have never heard of a patient care *technician*. Without any formal training or certification, the best you can hope for, in regards to patient care, is becoming some kind of aide with minimal responsibilities. No facility is going to let you perform CPR (even if you have taken the class) unless you called for help and there's ABSOLUTELY no one better qualified around (which shouldn't and probably won't ever happen). Expect not to make anything much better than minimum wage.
