I nursed for a year, and was young (almost 20) when our first daughter was born. I gained 40lbs with the pregnancy (dont ask me how, considering I was sick the whole time) I have lost all the pounds, but still have a couple extra inches around my waist. Did I lose it well because of my age? Will it get harder with future children, or will nursing them and trying to eat right continue to work?

it will get harder with future children to keep the weight down during pregnancy and lose it after because of your age and your body changes during the first pregnancy. Nursing and eating right will help a lot though.

I have 4 children, with each new arrival, it did get harder for me to drop the weight. For me it was a lack of time, energy, and total exhaustion, the first 3 are less than 2 and a haf years apart. My 4th is 3 now and still haven't gotten back to where i was b-4. Remember everyone is different, it depends on your lifestyle and how much time you can to devote to eating right and exercising. I was 21 with my first 32 with the last, for me age did make a difference

Well normally it's harder to keep weight after 30, some it's later, but your body most likely has become accustom to having a child (because well you got stretched out with the first one, so the second one and so forth it's already accustom to the stretching). As far as the difficulty of losing it, half of it has to deal with age, and the other half yea the fact you got stretched out (thank god there wasn't twins right?). Course if you had a personal trainer and some money to look as good as gloria estefan, or any other celebrity with a bunch of kids ...Jada pinkett, vanessa williams....then i suppose there woudlnt' be a problem.

Hello...
With my first baby, I also lost the weight rather fast. I think it depends from person to person but in my opinion it definately does get alot more difficult to get your figure back and lose the weight. I think it has alot to do with age too grrrrrrrrrrr lol :)
