the 2 gb nano is $150 and holds 500 songs
the 4 gb nano is $200 and holds 1,000 songs
the 8 gb nano is $250 and holds 2,000 songs
the 2 and 4 gig ipod nanos are fair deals, but the 8 gig is kinda a rip cuz the 30 gig ipod video is also $250
fyi, there also a special edition red ipod that donates 10 dollars to the global fund to fight AIDS, it has 4 gigs and costs $200

hi there r lots of alternatives to iPod. The market is competetive and u should not compromise with iPod alone , there r much more cheaper and better players than iPod nano, some of which even have video capability and 8gb capacity.Try the creative zen V plus or Sandisk. iPods are scratchy when compared to the above brands. But i don't give up iPod because of its good bundled software and easy to use interface....but remember the battery life, recording capability,Fm reception and video playback capability.Creative is a strong alternative towards iPods.u r the better judge.iPod nano 2GB is $149 and Cretive zen v plus 4 GBis $159.
But if u r an iPod lover..go for it .....nano's battery is better than Zen v plus
