Check valves in the cylinder prevent recirculation and most also have flash arrestors which prevent flame being backfed into tank and or lines.

Mindy has it. Flash-arrestors made of extremely fine stainless steel mesh prevents any flame from entering the cylinder.There is only liquid gas in the cylinder NOT any air.

the pressure of the gas keeps the flame out of the cylinder, and even if it didn't, there isn't enough air in the take to support combustion.

becoz gas has only one outlet where it can combine with oxygen,ie burner,and thus combustion takes place.
for this reason gas pipes must be kept in good condition.
