Easy. First, go to Control Panel. Second, open up User Accounts. Third, Create a New Account. You can password protect your account. When the PC is turned on, any user cannot get past the start-up screen without entering the correct password.

Go into Control Panel and User Accounts. Delete all the accounts except yours (usually Owner) and click on Change Acct. There you can put a password to block anyone else from using the computer. I also like to click on the option of lock all files, for insurance.

You need to setup user accounts, and disable the guest account.
Go to Start-> Settings-> Control Panel-> User accounts to get started.
Make sure you password protect all accounts. I'd recommend a seperate user account for your kids. Don't give them the password.. sign on for them when they ask.
Mark yourself as a computer administrator. Don't allow this access for your kids' user account. As administrator, you'll have the ability to login and and see what they are saving etc. If you are concerned about their online activity, get a keylogger that runs on the computer, that way you can audity everything they type. This also ought to give you an idea of their accounts and passwords if that helps.
Im all for parents keeping a watchful eye out for thier kids online.

Go into control panel, user accounts ... click your user account, and select "create a password". Choose your password, and then whenever you want to "lock" your computer, just press and hold the button with the windows logo on it, and then press L.

Go into the control panel under user accounts and change your security settings. It will help you create an account for yourself and any other users that will be allowed to log on with a password.
If it's your files you are concerned about and not Internet access, you can set up a guest account that will only access programs, not another user's files. You sign on as you and they are guest users.

Go to your start menu, on the right side there should be an icon with Control Panel written next to it. Click that, then double click User Accounts. Pick your account, click it, then click create password. Good Luck! = )

set up useraccounts so everyone who uses the computer has a separate password to sign it and gets to have there own files saved. Of course teh parent [admin] can view the files they've saved, etc
just go to "start - control panel - user accounts" and set it up from there.
