Is monastication a word? if it is, what is the definition? i think i might have copied the word wrong or something.

Do you mean monasticism (the solitary lifestyle of a monk in a monastery)? How about mastication (chewing)?

Monastication is not a word....maybe you mean Mastication...which means...to crush or grind (food) with or as if with the teeth or to soften or reduce to pulp by crushing or kneading.
