I was only about 5 months along when I started waking up with a soaked t-shirt. My mom and grandma freaked out, saying it was really weird. Most women I have talked to say they didnt get their milk in until after birth. Did I get mine early because my husband and I were sexually active during my pregnancy and my nipples were stimulated, or is it something that just happens?

That same thing happened to me with all 4 of my babies. It's totally normal. Your body's just getting ready.

I started leaking and getting soaked during the night right around the time that my non-maternity pants started to get tight. Then, after pregnancy I couldn't produce much at all so I decided, after pumping and getting not much at all, to bottle feed. Good Luck!

I am not certain of the cause, but I produced colostrum very early in pregnancy also, and have produced it every month since having babies! I am in my 40's now and still produce colostrum with every menstrual cycle. One doctor told me it is just the difference in hormone levels from woman to woman. Hope this helps.

I did. i in my opinion leaked colostrum till now i stumbled on out for particular i became pregnant, contained in the first month. that is in basic terms the hormones making waiting you for this toddler! you are able to ask your OB at your next verify up for reassurance. he or she will also do a breast exam to substantiate it really is all that it really is. Congratulations mom!

I'd say it's normal, just not so common. I started to leak about 2 months before my second was due, so leaking before birth is normal. You'll have to start using nursing pads in your bra from now on, but I wouldn't worry.
