ok im 18 i have been dating my b/f for 3 months all ready, hes really nice..lol.sometimes well he has been acting a litle wird he says that he cant call me that much nomore cause his phone someting is roung with it..and he always calles me dumnn *** and he always playes around with me like that and i called him dumn *** to its so cute wen we call eachother names cause were just playing but lattely he has ben calling me dumnn *** more often he calles me retarded,wirdooo,dumm *** hes like dont talk to me..lol.but i think hes palying but not sure???and i call him that too..lol.but sometimes idk wen he being serious and i call him my cute tanke cause hes a llitle chubby..lol.

I think it's all in the tone & context. If he really means what he's calling you then I think you need to find a decent guy.

My Cute Tanke is a better pet name then dumb-a**or retarded or weirdo! I will try to think of some better things that you can call each other! Honey Bear-Honey Pot- Honey-Honey Bun-Honey Pie-My Dear-Dear-Dearest-Darling- Sweetie-Sweetie Pie-Sweetheart-Dumpling-Cupcake-Sugar-Sugar-Pie-Sugar Plum-Sugar Baby-Baby-Babe-Try a few of these words on each other and add any other words that are pleasant! That should make you feel better! I call one of my dogs Monkey Head (not his real name) and he seems to like it! The tone of your voice matters a great deal also!

It sounds like you both have a lot of growing up to do. Don't ever let anyone call you dumb. If you do, you will start to believe it and lose any self esteem you have. Let him go and move on.

dump him. I think that he is being abusive and it is just the early signs. My hubby and I play and can do stuff like that but he never calls me names or degrades me

when he gets really drunk ask him all the questions you want cause he wont remember. tough questions like 'babe you really dont mean it when you say dum a##, do you?' are easiest when hes drunk and your not. if he says yes he does mean it, then bring it up when hes sober and say something like baby you called me retarded last night when you were drunk and you meant it, please talk to me about this
