A slut is worse than a whore---A slut is a dirty woman, and I believe I once read that a woman who is an adulterer may be referred to as a slut. So in my book that is bad because you don't know what you are in for or what they will do behind your back. At least with a whore it is all out on the table..you know she is in it for your money and not your love.( Hopefully)

I think a whore, they bring up an image of something nasty.
While a sl*t just reminds you of that loose cheerleader in High School.
People say "old whore ", but not "old sl*t"

sl## is used more often to just mean loose, while whore is still generally reserved for working girls
