Outlook is an email program that you use to conveniently check your email from your desktop. You need to be connected to the internet and you need to have an email adress and server... Outlook connects to the server and downloads your emails for you.

It's convenient because you can get emails from different addresses and is usually faster than having to log into a website, type in your name and password, etc... Outlook can do everything automatically with a touch of a button.

The bad side is that a lot of hackers use flaws in Outlook to create viruses and such so you need to be careful about what files you download and open.

It is an e-mail program. It will download your e-mail and store it for you to read.
There are pros and cons. It can be useful, but given that it's extremely popular, and from Microsoft, it can leave you vulnerable to e-mail viruses. However using such a popular program means you will never be short of sources of help should you run into problems using it.
There are other programs (and better, IMHO) out there also free that do the same job with more features. Like Thunderbird, for instance, from the people who put together Firefox the web browser. Or Eudora.

Outlook Express is a streamlined version of Outlook, Microsoft's email program. It's used for email, scheduling, and a variety of other similar tasks. It can be useful, but it also can be a magnet for viruses, so you'll want to make sure that you have a good firewall and antivirus program if you choose to use it.

Outlook Express is an email program. Just like any other, it stores your addresses, has different folders. I will assume you only have web based email if you are asking this question. People that use their provider address usually use a stand alone email program.
