There are so many that there could not be a best but several that can be considered the best. Sinatra, Bennet and Cole all sang differently each with his own unique style.

The early fifties there was Frank Sinatra,Patti Page .Jerry Vale,Vic Damone,Joni James,Jo Stafford,Frankie Lane. The mid to late fifties , there is Elvis Presley ,Pat Boone , Johnny Mathis , Harry Belafonte etc.

Nat King Cole- his voice was like buttah- did you ever hear a bad note come out of that mans mouth?
When I hear his voice it makes me feel all fuzzy inside- especially his Christmas songs. *sigh*
I was born in the wrong era for sure.
