My best friend is 8 weeks along and wants to have an abortion. She can't afford one though and decided to take 3 months worth of Birth Control Pills in one sitting even though I begged her not to. She did this around 11 p.m. on Monday night. Now it is Tuesday night and she still hasn't shown any signs of miscarriage. Now she's worried that if it doesn't cause a miscarriage that it's going to malform the baby which she will be forced to go full term with. Will this much pills cause a miscarriage, is it just too soon, will it cause malformations in the baby? She will be 9 weeks on Wednesday.

This will cause birth defects for sure. Good job to her! F'ing idiot.

This is why girls should keep their legs closed until their brain's begin to make rational SMART decisions.

Can she not go to a clinic and go over her options? Birth control pills have be used as emergency contraception (there are websites telling you how many to take for each brand) within 72 hours of intercourse. However they can't cause an abortion. They can seriously harm a fetus and cause birth defects. She needs to get herself to a doctor right away. Drag her *** in. If she has weighed her options and honestly cannot deal with not getting an abortion then she needs to get one soon. If she waits it will end up being too late by the law. She should talk to a doctor or nurse at a clinic about financial options.

I suggest that you tell your friend to go to Planned Parenthood as soon as possible and have her tell them what she did. I don't want to say the baby will be deformed because I don't know if that is true or not, but it definitely cannot be healthy.
As for your friend, taking that many pills is definitely not healthy for her either. Not only is she effecting the hormones in her body right now by taking all those pills at once, but it could effect her for the rest of her life. If she ever wants to have a child later on in life, she may not be able to because she's messing with her hormones now.
Also, I would definitely get her some help because she needs friendship and support. She also needs a Dr.'s advice because she obviously is taking matters in her own hands without any professional advice.

The pill shouldn't effect the fetus at all if you stop once you find out you are pregnant. As far as the weed goes, I wouldn't worry about that either. They say that it can have a effect, but if you don't smoke a lot, I wouldn't worry about it. (the drinking either, it's definately not good, but if you aren't a chronic drinker, you're fine) Just stop until you find out if you are or aren't. I knew someone that smoked through her 1st trimester because she had terrible "morning sickness" (it was supposidly the only thing that helped) and her kid is fine, although I REALLY wouldn't recommend it! You're probably late because you messed up your pills and are stressing. But you could be pregnant, so go get a test!! That's the only way you're going to know. And if it's positive, stay away from you're man when he is smoking!

I'd take her to the hospital right away. I think what she did is awful, but I'm sure she is very scared right now and not thinking straight.

Taking large quantities of birth control pills are the same thing as one day after pill, but since it is not the day after, and she is eight weeks along, she may really harm the baby, but not kill it. She better get to a doctor right away.
