Character is the rock, on which the whole edifice of your life is built. You will know that life is full of ups and downs. It requires a great strength of character to withstand the bumpy road in life. Character is the cushion that keeps your life to run on even keel, without being bumped off, in pot holes. Absence of character, even if you have truck of hard currency, will lead to evil ways, from which it is difficult for you to retrieve yourself.

The need of character and moral values is for life. This is the way to living a long and prosperous life. We can see that is true beacsue thses virtues teach us how to live in this world with one another--they are our guidelines. And we need thses guidelines because you would always want someone else to treat you or your loved one right, and so you will treat them right.

Character and values give us a reasonably consistent personality, which helps others deal with us in a reasonably confident and trustful manner. We need this trust from others so as to be able to progress our own development and career.

In your childhood you need to discover yourself the target of your lifetime. For this you go to school, meet friends and teachers., do exercises, practise hobby etc. The next phase is the achieving of target with all your might in your prime age ( from 21 to 41 years ) when your capacity is highest. In the last phase of your life you need to plan your activities as your capacity will reduce gradually. TO USE THIS SHORT SPAN OF LIFE FULLY, YOU NEED TO BUILD YOUR CHARACTER STRONG SO THAT YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH YOUR LIFE.

At present character building and moral values are not needed. If everybody understands their importance and act accordingly then only they will be useful otherwise not.

Let us remember the age old saying:" Do to others what you expect others to do to you".
Anything that you find , of value, in life is your character. Anyhting that your conscience says it to be good is moral value. If you expect others to treat you well and respect and love ... be it in life or in your career..... you build them in yourself.
It is possible , in life and workplace, that you will come across people who donot display this and trample on other people`s toes. This does not mean that you should do to them what they do to you! That is not character building.
