She looks either Asian or Hispanic to me... does she have a confirmed ethnicity? Or was she purposely drawn to look racially ambiguous?

Dora is definitely Latina, but there's never been a confirmation that she is a Mexican-American. She speaks fluent Spanish, as do many of her friends. Her show spawned a spinoff, "Diego," who is Dora's cousin. Diego runs an animal rescue center and often rescues animals that are from South America. I believe the creator may be deliberately ambiguous about her origin to appeal to a wider Latin American audience than just the U.S. and Mexico.

She looks Hispanic to me and I think she is precious. Probably was created to look racially ambiguous. It helps kids not be racists. I admire that. At least someone is trying to eliminate racism. I think you agree to that as well.

She appears to be of Hispanic/Latin American ethnicity and she teaches children things in Spanish and English. So, it should give some indication about the main character. She also refers to her parents as Mami and Papi and her grandmother as Abuelita, which are all Spanish words.

I'm going to guess Hispanic. I think I heard her speaking Spanish once time, just before I changed the channel.

Dora comes in some forms speaking English, Spanish, and French (speaking French are the harder toys to find).

Because of selling SO many of these toys Online and writing out descriptions for all the toys (I try to write in the native language which is Spanish, my Spanish is not the best) we have or had in, I no she is of Mexican descent. She is VERY popular!
