before marriage I was financially strong. My parents paid for many things for me. I was very comfortable with what I made. After marriage...there's more responsiblity. More bills, (buying a house). and I have to start saving up more if we want to have a child in the future.

Most people are actually in debt after being married. It would be extremely rare to feel financially strong after marriage. If you don't feel financially stable right now, don't worry, but don't feel too subtle about it either.

Better off BEFORE marriage -- and it was a short disaster of a marriage -- and he took a LOT from me (including Financial Resources).

Well it all depends on the property you invest in and the number of children you have and you other half salary.
I am an ordinary person earning and average salary. If I married to a million I will be better off then before. If not, then will be worse.
Realistically I worn compare, it all down to what kind of life style you and your partner want.

I feel financially stronger and more secure now that I am married.
There are two salaries coming into the household and there is more stability from both parts.

Why would it change? You still have the same bills as you did when you came into the marriage.
