I have brown eyes and medium-fair skin. I've had brown hair for so long, and normally wear blue or turquoise shades of eyeshadows with a pink/lilac lipstick which always worked for me.

I've dyed my hair black and don't know what kind of make up too wear, everything looks too much. Am I supposed to keep my make up 'natural/nude'? The dark hair makes my eyes look small, how can i make them look bigger - any make up tricks? Thanks.

Stick with earth tones. Blues and pinks are horrid. Smokey eyelids and elongated eyeliner (but not noticeable) will help. You should also use a whitish eyeshadow just below your mid to outer brow line. Try lightening up the lid just above the lash line to add a dramatic larger effect. Use mascara. Darken your eyebrows to a shade just above your hair color. Use a bronzer all over and accentuate the cheekbone to draw the eyes and face together. Stay with a light lip color like nude or a simple gloss but make sure you line the lips with a chocolate color. Don't use heavy or colorful lipsticks it will draw attention from the eyes.

I'd probably lay off the eyeliner & just go for some darker eyeshadow on the lid & lighter eyeshadow on the top, a white pencil blended along the browline can add lift & make your eyes appear bigger. The great mascaras that are around out there now should suffice for adding a bit of outline to your eyes. What you're doing probably feel like it looks too much because black is a pretty dramatic hair colour change. You will get used to it though :) I like to do my eyes a bit heavier & have red lipstick (I finally found a shade that suits me!) for going out at night. During the day I usually just stick to coloured lip gloss with lip liner for a bit of definition.

black or dark brown eye liner will help open up your eyes. you can draw use white eye liner to draw the inside of your eyes. You eyes will look bigger. (learned this trick from Tyra show) I personally like to match my eye shadow w. the shirt I wear. If I wear light pink shirt I would have light pink shadow. Netural color always look good w/ dark hair. If none of these work for you consider going to a fine department store make up color and ask for suggestion. I am sure those gal can help you.

Do not use earth colors. They look terrible on your complexion. Use blues, greens, and other bold colors.
