Lets list the common misconceptions in this question and from some of the answers

1) Jobs have ALWAYS gone overseas. Lower level type jobs have always migrated off of American soil. Toy manufacturing, plastics, software, and now call centers. To think that this trend will stop if Bush is not in office is ludicrous.

2) The Iraq war is OVER. The peacekeeping mission will and should continue until such time that Iraq can fend better for itself and its free government.

3) Tax policies do NOT favor the rich. The "rich" still pay the majority of taxes (in terms of percent AND total monies). You want a "fair" system, let's see the only true "fair" system supported by the Dems, that being a straight across the board flat tax rate where EVERYBODY pays the same percentage of their income.

4) How is Bush in charge of how people save? And FYI, the savings rate is based off of normal banking type savings. Many MANY more people participate in the stock market now. More than ever before, the stock market is for EVERY person and not just the elite. "the main statistic used to track how much people are setting aside for retirement isn't very accurate. It doesn't include investment gains which during a bull market can swell retirement accounts and give people less reason to save."

5) Blanket statements that the Republicans are "the most corrupt" party in political history is completely SUBJECTIVE. The SAME thing could be spouted about the uber-corrupt Clinton regime, the Johnson regime, the Kennedy Regime, or many others.

6) 'Hasn't done anything positive for the country'... what a load of hogwash. Every Presidency has done positive things. Even Clinton, who I detest, did some positive things. Bush has done things towards national security that were long overdue and that are great for this country. Slow growth economics are a Godsend compared to the false boom and lies of 'no debt or deficit' for the Clinton economic policies. Attempting to permanently get rid of unfair taxes such as the marriage and death taxes are good for EVERY family.

because ha hasnt done one thing positive for our country. its as if he went on an 8yr vacation and by the way, he's put more millage on air force one than the last two presidents combined. and still hasnt done anything. lying about saddam's wmd's in iraq for what ever reason, katrina, social security, immigration, if he had to rely on the new prescription plan, he'd be screwed. look at some of the people he's either tried to appoint or appointed, only to have them screw up, majorly. where is bin laden. no justification for 9/11 survivors/victims. the list goes on. the funny thing about all this is that bush seems like the type of person that would be proud to go down as the worst president in US history.

housing market cooling

American savings rate for 2005 was negative 0.5 percent, the lowest since the Great Depression. The annual savings rate has been negative only twice -- in 1932 and 1933, during the Great Depression.

The ratio of debt to assets hit a near record 18.2 percent in the third quarter of 2005

The debt service ratio -- the percentage of after-tax household income that goes to cover required principal and interest payments on debt -- hit a record high of 13.75% in the third quarter of 2005

Real wages in the US are falling at their fastest rate in 14 years, according to data surveyed by the Financial Times.

edit: thumbs down? I know that the facts hurt, Republicans, and you only want to discuss the Dow as an economic indicator.

No practice at dealing with failure. No concept at all at how to do something healthy with having run yourself into failure. And pick yourself up and move on, make success again and keep learning along the way.

The presidency isn't the best place you want to think of for having your first significant experience of failure that you are responsible for, without daddy and his silver spoon to bail you out.

Well, there's the lying - over and over again.

There's the insistance of calling anyone who disagrees with him anti-American.

There's the tax policies that overly-favor the rich to the expense of the middle class.

Aside from all the lies, he is the Commander in Chief of the most corrupt political party in U.S. history. Thanks to people like the GOP and Jack Abramhoff, the U.S. truly has the best government that money can buy.
