i mean seriously! they r here 24/7! also they get way into it, like they will b all like "i cant believe u wasted 5 points asking this question!" they care so much about points, and the points do nothing! seriously, wats so great about this site and y do so many ppl care so much about points!??

I don't know about other people, but for me it's just plain boredom and Y!A helps me to beat boredom and have fun at the same time. Really, I can't believe it, you just wasted five points asking this question! ^-^

It's fun, and a lot of people don't care about points. But, it is a goal for some to get points and get up on the leaderboard, kind of like some people climb a mountain because the mountain is there. Certainly there are much more harmful addictions in the world.

We do it because we can. It is clean harmless fun. I have an hour or so to myself a night to sit here quietly. This is how I spend it. It is fun. The same reason people play video games or watch t.v....it is just something fun to do to pass the time.
