Is this really a fashion fo-paw? Do people really pay attn. to this anymoe? And if they do what else should I be concerned about? I was completely void of any concern until a friend mentioned that in NY it was a big deal to wear white after Labor day. I had white shoes on today and she was from NY. What do you think?

Trust me.... its OOOKAY! no-one cares about that anymore... the odd time ppl will make a comment, but generally they are just joking about it.
Personally im the person all my friends and co-workers consult as far as fashion tips, and I say white is A-okay! Do it up! ;)

It used to be that no white was worn after labor day.
The rule is passe, BUT it does apply to shoes other than tennis shoes.
P.S. ALL white shoes except a casual strappy summer sandal, tennis shoe, or flip flop ARE A MISTAKE!
JUST SAY NO to white shoes!

Well another rule of fashion is that nothing is really "in" for more than a year or two until it gets old, and that saying has been around for a while, so I say who cares.

It was at one time, now everyone has their own style and wears what is right for them. It is no longer a fashion faux pas, unless, you live in Palm Beach society.
