Hiyas... Cymbalta is, like any other antidpressive, a medication that has numerous side effects. HOWEVER it i commonly well tolerated and the benefits clearly overcome the sideffects. 30 mgs is a good starting dose, but the normal standarized treatment dose is 60 mgs. I think youre relatively safe with it. If your physician thinks its a good choice for you, that is more important than whatever anyone of us here in the net can tell you, after all he is giving it to you for a reason and with knowledge fo the medications benefits and side effects.Give it a try, my GF used it and it truly did changed her life..and the life of those around her.

I have been on this med for three years and I am doing really well. It works with the mental and the physical complants of depression. I take 60 mg a day

I took it, and thought it worked fine, however, my stomach is sensative and it was too hard for it. I now take Zoloft. But I know Cymbalta has worked well for alot of people, and they had no stomach issues about it.

My daughter was on cymbalta,it worked fine for her,the only bad side effect is she gained a lot of weight,she did weigh 150 now she weighs
213. hard to lose.
but everyone is different,the DR. told her she may gain weight and she did. now she is off med.

i wish i had an answer, but i look forward to hearing what other people have experienced. also, if you get a minute, email me, b/c i have a dr's appt. coming up,and i need to change my meds, and i'd like your opinion on taking it. gl!
