i missed my periods which was due on this 17th...am on medication for urinary track infection.....i took a hcg card test but it was negative?? my doc is out of town for another 1 week...i want to know is it possible that i might be pregnant but due to the antibiotics and alkalien medicine i have been taking, the hcg card is not detecting it????

my doc told me that uti doesnot interfere with the periods...but while i had it i did had a delay in my dates...anyhow still lets not jump to any conclusions...it might be that you are pregnant...i wud suggest you to take it easy and wait for a while before you take another test...why dont you go for a blood test instead..its a fullproof way of finding out if you are pregnant or not...all the best!!

It's very possible. I didn't get a positive pregnancy test until I was 2 1/2 months pregnant with my daughter. Even the doctor said I wasn't pregnant.
