There is this jerk in my school who threatens to blackmail me if I don't do all sorts of crap for him. How do I prevent said person from doing so?

As much as I hate telling a higher rank of authority about this, is there another way to do so?

Well, blackmail is illegal so you could report him to the cops. What does he have on you anyway? Personally I'd rather have whatever it is come out then be someones slave. Why don't you tell everyone about it yourself. Cut him off at the knees so to speak. If it becomes common knowledge then he will have nothing on you anymore.

Don't listen to the smart alec people on here. People are not generally stupid. Perhaps only the ones who think they're so clever. Con-men, sales men whatever, have used the same tricks for CENTURIES. Playing on people being HUMAN. People generally, (this is VERY general), are polite, want to listen and want to please. There is no easy and quick fix answer if you're use to being that way, but you can learn. Weird as it may sound, practice in front of a mirror every day saying the word, 'no'. Don't worry about it as you'd be in your own home but it is a good habit to get into, that way it will become easier to say it to pushy people. There's no need to become rude. Just say it all the time to the next salesman and THEY'D have to give up. Failing that you can walk away if you're out on the street or state politely that you're going to close the door if you're indoors and do it. I wish you lots of luck.
