I cared for this old lady 92 years old that had a son 60 years old.
She and her son are together on her keychain. She is with her son in other pictures when most husbands and wives posed together. She even has her hand on his lap. When I slept over her home, she would always call for her son, and wake me up and ask if he was around. They even went on trips around the world together.
They look so lovingly at each other when they are together, and she even gets her hair done, and make up on before he comes home from work! Tell me is this normal?

He even massages her feet, and gives her ice cream and since he is not married, she wants to approve of the girl he should get married to.

Now, what if he takes all her $$, and depletes her accounts and she is supporting him all her life, and he is 60. Come on folks. Your opinion now?

Husband is dead over 8years, but she never talked about her husband. She always talks about how "good" her son is when he is stealing from her her credit card, and money.

Dear Simple,
It is not the ordinary that is for sure. She is 92 and been around for a long time! You didn't say anything about the father, her husband. Is he dead? Her son may have just been there for her and assumed the Man-of-the-house duties. He should inherit the farm! He is the next of kin.

I could go into a discussion about attachment theory and the differnent types of attachment, but I can say it much simpler: Momma and son need to cut the apron strings. If you want a more scientiffic and detailed answer, contact me, and we can talk more about it.

Of course that is fine, the son is probably trying to spend extra time, because at 92 years old, you never know when her time will end, so he is trying to cherish it.

Would you rather they hated each other? "Normal" or "average"- is the sum-total of ALL relationships. I don't understand some of them either...-But I'm happy enough to realise, -it's not for me to judge. There are far more worrisome things to be concerned about. Believe me.

It's unusual but not necessarily pathological at all. She probably doesn't have anyone else much to dress up for and they both know to treasure the time she has left.

sounds like a bit of dementia...but normal...yes
she was probably a well dressed woman in her day... and wants to look great for him....
I wouldn't worry about it...unless there are liplocks involved
