You could start by going to a monastary in the Los Angeles, CA area.. they would be able to direct you.. There is a very large monastary there and very beautiful.. I have been there twice because it is so very peaceful when I go there

Locate a temple and begin attending. Let the spiritual leader there guide you. If he or she feels you should go on, they will suggest an appropriate monastary for you.
