Aggressive? Are you bleeding when got into the piranha-infested waters? Yes, I'd say they'd swarm you and strip you down to the bone...it's called a 'feeding frenzy', just like sharks. But something must TRIGGER them to do so (again, are you bleeding?)
The common (maybe misconception?) is that pirahnas will eat humans, regardless. But recent studies have shown that pirahnas prefer to eat other fishies, especially when they are young pirahnas. They like to go for the fins, cuz it's easy to get (and the victim would rather lose a fin or two than its life).
Adult pirahnas do consider size when it comes to eating. Smaller fish are a lil safer around them as opposed to one that is 4x bigger than the pirahnas (mmm, plump and meaty...)
There is always that possibility, but they showed a video of a South American village living near the waters that are known to be swarming with pirahnas. The children were playing in the water, swimming, splashing, making a lot of noise, etc....and no pirahna attack.
If you outright tease a school of pirahnas...well, you're just asking for it! :P If you were hungry, you'd eat a cockroach too!

Yes they can and will eat large animals alive. Just to note something a single piranha can kill you in a variety of ways. It could get an artery or you could choke on it during lunch for example.

Piranha is more dangerous than a shark! They can tear all the flesh off the skeleton of any large animal or person in a few minutes.

They truly kill whatever they get .They munch on everything but your bones . they can kill a person within seconds .they are mainly found within the rivers of S.America
