Ok my boyfriend of 5 years was deported. He was a legal resident. Ive known him for 8 years, since i was 14. We were pretty mcuh high scool sweethearts, and he was my first for everything. We have a two year old son together. He was born in Mexico but raised here. He was deported for not paying his fines with something he got into trouble for when he was 17. I was told he can never come back. It kills me and its been over a year since Ive seen him and 5 months since Ive talked to him on the phone. He lives in a place in Mexico where there is no electricity and no mail service. I cant seem to get over him and I cant see my self with anyone but him. I have tons of family that I love here, his family is here. I couldnt imagine ever leaving my family and my way of life to move down there. It hurts and I feel bad for not wanting to move down there. I need to know if any of you have been in a simaler situation or know of any ways to get over this. Im heartbroken even after a year.

Obviously you have alot to take into consideration. The love for your boyfriend, the care and love of your child together, your family and friends here, your lifestyle and comfort you feel in being where you are. Why has it been so long since you have talked? Are you both just trying to forget the feelings you share for one another? Is it over? Has he moved on and are you having a hard time excepting it? Do both of you want to be together to raise your child? Alot of serious things to consider and answer within "yourself truthfully". It is not going to be easy but, when you find "your truth" and know what it is you really want things will become clearer. Anything is possible if you truly want it to be. If your man is legal I am sure there is a way for him to get back and avoid the Mexican Authorities... Depends how serious the trouble was... If it were that serious he would be in jail. Find the truth and follow your heart....... The rest usually works out! .... Just a thought............Peace.

Sorry to say; but, i don't think he was a legal resident. He had to be in possession of a Silva Levi letter; which gave him the right to remain in the U. S., the letter would have remained in effect as long as he did not leave the united states and did no commit a felony (most states that could be a misdemeanor). With the 9/11 commission they are really cracking down on felons and illegals. first yes he is a felon - he failed to pay fines issued by a state, than turn 18 years of age and moved across state lines. this violated the silva levi letter which also placed him into the felony status. your choice, Move to Mexico or forget him.

What I would do is contact your local goverment and explain the situation to them about him not paying his fines and just verify with them that he isnt allowed to come back in. Then if they say he isnt allowed, ask them if there is anyway that you can pay the fines or work out a payment plan with them so he can come back cos you have a 2 year old child to him and he needs to contribute to the looking after of your child! You could explore other options to moving somewhere that has water, electricity etc that is in the middle or to the side and then live together. Try and ghet his parents involved and see if they can speak to the authoroties! Hope this helps!!

Seek some type of legal advice. He has a child who is an American citizen, it seems that would make some difference especially since the baby was conceived in the US. Could you marry him so that he could obtain citizenship? Talk to an attorney with knowledge in this area. Good luck and GodBless you and your child.

That is a tough one.

I was in a similar situation many years ago. We just decided to move on after a while.

Some things are just not meant to be.

It still hurts however.

Of course you can't get over him. You have a child together. Is there a loop hole to get him back here if the two of your got married there?

you really need to learn if he was deported, then put into JAIL. i do not know of any town/area that has no postal service whatsoever, but i do know that if a guy is in jail and he does not want you to know it, his address suddenly becomes "unavailable" or "unknown."

if he is in jail, for what?

watch out.

love is blind.
