Pete Miller's in the northern suburbs of Chicago.

They have this Emerald Martini that tastes like a fruit salad that was put through the blender. Oh god, I love those drinks.

I've never had a bad meal there. Service has always been exceptional.

Can't wait to go back again.

Enjoy your day. :)

Mrs. Fords

Outside Sonoma, Ca. there was a restaurant called "Mrs. Fords". Didn't look like much from the outside. When you ordered your meal, Mrs. Ford would go out to her garden, pick the veggies and salad greens, always had fresh meats, fish and poultry from the farms and streams nearby. As you were enjoying your meal, if you looked around you'd see photographs of many of the movie stars of the day and political characters. A closer look would show that they had all written a note to Mrs. Ford. It was an "in" place to go for the swanks, we just happened to find it because we were tired and hungry and there was nothing else around.

Wine from the near-by Napa Valley, which was sort of a secret from the bigger world too.

Probably Piccolinos in Napa. I can't even count how many times I've been there. I could eat anything from the menu except the red meat. Their seafood pastas are delish!
