In my last question I asked of the plausibility of the "de-evolution" to exist. I was met by some differing thoughts concering this including much modern scientific thoughts.
Theoretically speaking if we use scientific thought to consider de-evolution does it not conflict with scientific evidence? The de-evoluton of man idea would suggest that as we gain more scientific, analytical process and increased dependence on technology we continue to errode a spiritual portion of ourselves. This spiritual portion would not need increases in physical only the smallest amounts of physical resources to maintain a phsical existance. Through time, we have desired more physical goods. This desire for tangiblility has slowly erroded our spiritual capacity. If a body is seperated into two parts (spiritual and physical) would it not make sense that when you give of one you take of another? If our spiritual capacity were to be say 90% what walls could hold that being? limitless possibilities emmerge?

I'm sorry....I would love to be able to comprehend exactly what it is you are saying, but it's a little to complex for me. I kind of see where you are going with this, but I think you have put too much thought into where we are going without knowing 100% where we came from. I think that no matter what without te physical being strong, and healthy, then the spiritual can not survive.....so the physical will always be greater then the spiritual.
forgive me if I missed the bus on this one :)

Prove first, that the spiritual side of humans exist. And there is no such thing as de-evolution, there is only adaptation in order to survive in the ever changing physical/social environment. Now think on this: " A spiritual void is good for the economy". Maybe your "de-evolution" is just humanitie's way of adapting to the social pressure of materialism and capitalism. The materialist is being selected for in our globalized culture.

For sure dude! I agree except I think there is more parts to the body then just two. There is definitely at least five. There is the left and right brain, although no one knows how in fact they work all being theological theories of some sort. Then there is the left and right heart. And there is also the big toe. So I totally agree and hope one day to be as smart as you dude! Happy Halloween! April Fools! To all a good night!

without trying to be mean, eventually in time we will learn that when you are a "dee-dee-dee" you should not exist, or they should be sent somewhere else (apart from civilization), and the whole society will be made of the the smartest genetically possible people. Their needs will be met but their wants would be reasonable, not luxurious, and by that time asians hispanics and blacks will be mixed together to we will have the most smart, crafty, stongest race then before. That is if we survive global warming

Think about this- perhaps our dependance upon technology, correlating directly with the generation of new diseases and other products of our excesses, is a result of the entrophy inherent in our very existence? The very de-evolution you speak of?
But I digress. Modern man has convinced himself that his "spirit" is the stuff of fairy tales, and thus he denies himself immense power and understanding- but at the same time, by severing his connection to the divine, he affirms himself as the 'measure of all things.' Modern man's intense drive to hold himself up as the be-all end-all of reality is ultimately his undoing.

Hey James H,

With specialization a standard today, life is easy for us all. So, we don't have to be fit to survive - the inverse of evolution principles involving the survival of the fittest. So, the unfit survive, and procreate - and we Devolve.
