You don't say where you are coming from.
However, in any case, I would say as well that flying is your best option. Driving would only be an option in summer/fall months, and depending where you are coming from, could prove as expensive or morseso than flying. There are ferries that go up the inside passage, from Bellingham, WA, to points on the coast of Alaska. Costs vary according to passenger only, car and passenger, size of vehicle, etc.

Flying is the cheapest, surest way to go. Driving works only before September 1st. This is really the wrong season to go.
