Say your friend to forgot the girl who cheat him and ask him to concentrate his mind on other interesting things.He will surely get better partner than that girl.

I cannot suggest you anything, but I would share my experience. See if you get any idea out of it to help your friend.
My GF "dumped" me after 4 years of friendship when she found a whealthy and smart guy. It was not easy for me accept, I thought it was the end of the world. I was depressed for about 6-8 months. I could share my feelings with my friends, but nothing soothed my aching heart. Finally I realized, I am the only one suffering from this turn of life... nobody else can feel the way I feel about it. Let me get out of it. I am not a victim of others' deeds, or I didnt want to be. Whatever happens to my life is entirely my responsibility. I will take my life ahead from here. I concentrated on my work and got two levels of promotion in 6 months, and I now earn 3 times the salary I had then. I gained back my self confidence and self worth. I never talked about my "loss" to any one any more. After a year, I got married. Now, 2 years after marriage, I would say "thank god she left, it made way for someone who is right for me to come in."
If you want to help him, dont listen to his stories any more. Distract him from his thoughts. Take him out for some sort of entertainment. Meet people. Learn something new. Get him on his feet and keep going. And remember, deeper the wound, the longer it takes to heal. Just leave it alone, it will heal itself in time.

If your friend is outgoing and comfortable with people, you can set a blind date for him. She should be someone you think can cheer him up. If he is really desperate, he should tell about his feelings to that girl because, the worst has already happened. he has nothing to loose. That way he would know what she thinks and lighten up himself.
Most importantly tell him its not the end of the world and there are 1000s of chicks out there waiting for him.

Your question suggest that it is you who the friend is. So you heart are there in the question. When you are afraid of asking your question in a channel which is very secretive then how could you have told your girl friend that you love her. Naturally she is found someone with better emotional match. Look for someone who matches you and do not be afraid that you might lose her also.

hi, first ,you need to chill a bit if you really want to help your friend,after a broken relation everybody has a volcano ready for eruption,talk to him in a calm way such that its a controlled eruption, then ask him to involve in some hobbies,do give him his part of space but dont let him feel lonely,bye,tc.

the same thing happened with one of my friends. just say to him if that girl is in ur destiny, no one can stop her from becoming urs. but if not, no matter whatever things u might do, it wont work. if his love for her was true she will definately come back. otherwise think that she was not good for him. let bygones be bygones.

u know wat...i'm in sort of a same situation but i'm the girl who left the guy....but unfortunately i haven't found ne1 for myself but i still don't wan't to go back to dat guy....u can't develop feelings for som1...u need to make ur fren understand this...get him involved wid some other girl...also if he'll b around dat girl a lot...it will b hard for him to forget her...so try keeping him away from her..

same matter happend to me . so tell your friend to forget that girl.
plz dear friends understand that our family is first . and dont feel about that matter you think that GOD gave you one opertunity to know the charecter of that girl. dont love before marriage you love after the marriage .
