Here are my rules:

1. Spell correctly. Come on, people. They put the spell check next to the question field, and they expect you to use it. We all make mistakes, just please don't misspell anything shorter than 5 letters.

2. I'm not saying that your grammar should be perfect, but we should be able to figure out what you are saying.

3. Don't ask questions that could be answered in a fraction of a second with a yahoo or google search.

4. Post in the correct category. How can you expect answers if you are asking for help on a social studies project in the makeup category?

I thought of some more:

5. Only answer a question after you have read the whole thing (or as much as you can if the person can't spell).

6. Don't ask an offensive question just because you think it might be funny.

7. Don't ask questions like, "How can I get a man to love me forever and ever?" or "What is the secret to losing weight?" If those secrets existed, we would all be married and have perfect bodies.

On request, I shall add:

8. Don't spam. Most of us aren't looking for a website to make money because we are either students or have REAL jobs.

Sorry for adding so many details, but don't you think that if the person can't spell 50% of the words in their question correctly, nobody should feel obligated to answer the question.

Of course people whose first language is not English are excused if they have errors. However, the people with the most errors seem to be American teenagers.

your Probably right..,but keep in mind that allot of users have English as an second or third language, and then its obviously bound to happen that the English used is not the most correct..
..i think as long its understandable for all,it OK for me.
and thank you for reminding me that there is a spelling check button,i hardly ever use that,i will do it more often from now on.
...
OK i did it,and had 5 mistakes in it..,i do not think that was so bad,for somebody that has English as a third language.

I second that hun! There should be one more, in my opinion:
5. No web speak.

I'm 35 years of age and half the time I can't figure out the codes people use, it's strange and frustrating for me.

I agree. I always see people posting question on wrong category. I don't know whether they are purposely post on wrong category or not. And i have one more rules:
Do not answer question or ask question using all words in capital letters, This sounds like yelling or scolding.

I agree, so tired of trying to read some of those posts or questions that are hard to read because the people don't or can't spell the word out or they try to use slang instead.

i think of they might desire to alter the policies, I asked a horse question thrice!!!!! it grew to become into "what's your popular breed of horse?" AND IT stored GITTING DELETED!! i could no longer see the solutions people gave, they might desire to alter some extraordinary rule so my questions don't get deleted, it bugs me, lol
