Someone took out my USB that is linked to my computer, and for some reason, once i plugged it back it, it is now mapped to the G drive. Before it was the F drive. Now everything that was linked to my external hard drive before on the F drive, is not working. For example, I installed my spysweeper on my external hard drive, and now, spy sweeper cannot find the path to the source. You know what I mean?

Is there any way to make the G drive back into the F drive?

First make sure that nothing else has been assigned to the F drive. If something else is taking F drive, then you will have to reassign that first.

Right click on my computer, left click on manage. Under Storage click on Disk Management. In the right find the drive that you want to chagne. Right click on it and choose Chang drive letter and Paths. Remove the existing letter, and add the one you want.

Go to Control Panel and open Administrator Tools. Then open Computer management and click on disk management. This will open a list of all the drives on the computer. Right click on the drive you want to change and select Change Drive Letter and Paths. Change the letter to what you want and you are done! It should be pretty easy, good luck!

Access Control Panel/Adminstrative Tools/Computer Management.

Click on Disk Management.
You'll see the drives that are currently connected to your system.

Right click on the drive that you would like to change and click on Change Drive Letter and Paths.

Choose the drive letter you want.
