Go to work means you haven't arrived yet. You're in transit, as in going to...

Get to work means you're already at your place of employment (or whatever) but as yet haven't become constructive.

Go to work shows as direction-begin-start towards working.

Get is a demand,not working & you should be. Get is a command as you haven't done it yet, but you better get-reach out get busy.

The first means "go to the place where you work." The second means "begin working."
