Wow , you are genius ,,,,You thought about something nobody did before ....You are so true....Why did not he have it? you know , you have just found a biggest mistake in Walt Disney industry....They should think about that ...they just want to show us some cute , handsome boy AND yes, it would be somebody without the beard....!!!!

Johnny Weismuller had a contract with Schick. He could not go out in public with even a 5 o clock shadow. Lame joke.
Back when Tarzan was created.... heroes didn't have facial hair or long hair. Clean cut was more sexy. So it just perpetuated itself. (Just my guess.)

Because it was a flaw in the movie making that was supposed to not be noticed :-). In books he does (not disney color books of course lol)
