Lines can continue forever(in theory) exp... <--------------->

the "<" and ">" stand for a continued part... or no end to the line. if it has dots at the end, it is a segment... it could mean it is part of another shape or a line that ends... like a stick. O--------------O

I'm thinking a segment is PART of a line.

In geometry, I seem to remember having trouble with this concept. Planes and lines are infinate. A segment is a line that has been assigned a beginning and end.

Line goes to infinity while line segment ends that the given points.
For lines, the arrows are drawn to express that, while segments have points at the end.
e.g. <--> is a line and goes to infinityyy __
e.g Ao--oB is a segment, and labeled AB
And please, only a third-grader would say: "Let's see how many know this"?
